2007 ASGS Symposium

The 52nd Annual Symposium and Exposition on
Scientific Glassblowing

at the Portsmouth Renaissance,
Portsmouth, Virginia
June 20th- 23rd, 2007

Please join us in Portsmouth Virginia for the Fifty-second ASGS Symposium.

Mark your calendar for June 21st – 23rd, 2007 and plan to attend what promises to be a Symposium to remember. This is the first time that the ASGS will have a three-day symposium format, so plan to be active all day long..

The Committee Chairs have been busy putting together an extensive program that will educate and entertain us all.

“Portsmith,” for those of us not from the area, is located on the beautiful Elizabeth River; directly across this busy river is Norfolk. This small, quiet city will be a perfect fit for our group. The downtown area, a three-minute walk from the Renaissance Hotel, has many quaint shops and eateries.

The area is rich in early American history. Bring the family to visit Jamestown, Williamsburg, Virginia Beach or the Chesapeake. The nation’s capitol, Washington, DC is only a few hours north.

We anticipate a great turn-out being so close to the country’s scientific glassblowing center, Vineland, New Jersey.

Let’s all plan to attend this event, rekindle old acquaintances, make new friends and educate ourselves in our profession.
I look forward to seeing everyone.

Scott Bankroff, Chair
2007 ASGS Symposium
